New year, new books! And not so new books after a quick trip to Barnes & Nobles to grab a few books before coupons expired. With so many great titles coming out this year, I’ll have more than enough reading material to get me by until the next release. So here’s a look at my mini haul and what I’ll be adding to my personal library.
Do you ever remember bits and pieces of a story you read when you were younger but can’t think of the name? And the parts you do remember are so vague that it could describe any other story on the market?
I suddenly remembered reading a book about two girls. One had just moved to this new town and slowly started hanging out at the beach with a peculiar girl. There may have been a lighthouse as well?
I’m sure I’ll stumble upon the title with some research, it’s just these moments hit during the strangest time and I am left wondering what part of my activity triggered the memory.
Just watched Annihilation and of course it’s based on a book. I don’t find out about these things until the credits roll.
Donnen glared at the kid. “I’m a city guard. And so are you, recruit. Nobody gets away with murder while we’re on duty.”
Jevlan stood a little straighter. “What do we do, then?”
“The captain wants proof.” Donnen smiled. “We bring her proof.”
My email: “Your W-2 is available to file!”

I’m surprised more booktubers aren’t talking about Pullman’s The Book of Dust. Actually, I haven’t seen any booktube reviews now that I think about it. How unfortunate.
“Begin as you mean to go on.”
The East coast is suppose to get a pretty bad blizzard. Look after yourselves, your family and your friends. Make sure your loved ones will be okay. Prepare properly and get ready to snuggle up with a good book. This might be a bumpy one.
It’s 2018 but that’s not gonna stop me from sending holiday cards for last year.
